2023-2024 MSD Admission Process

We are thrilled to talk to families about Montessori School of Denver! You’ll find MSD’s Admissions staff are friendly, available, and know the answer to just about any question you have about MSD! Here’s your roadmap for MSD’s admission process. Jump in and get started applying!

Step 1: Make an Inquiry for MSD on SchoolAdmin

Help us learn more about your child and ask questions by submitting an inquiry here. A member of MSD’s Admission Team will connect with next steps.

Step 2: Take a Tour of MSD

Visit MSD at one of our family-friendly Open Houses or request an adults-only Tour. A Montessori environment is a unique educational experience that can be truly appreciated by seeing it in action. Join us for an opportunity to visit the classrooms, explore outdoor learning spaces, and engage with teachers and students.

We are currently hosting Virtual Information Sessions and Classroom Peeks with families by appointment. Be sure you have submitted an Inquiry for more information, then reach out to us at 720-606-4321 to set an appointment. We look forward to hearing from you.

Step 3: Apply to Montessori School of Denver

The application deadline for the first round of admission for the 2023-2024 school year is Friday, January 6, 2023. The application deadline for siblings of current MSD students is Friday, November 18, 2022.

In addition to the guardian completing a student application, Middle School applicants are asked to complete a Supplemental Application. Once completed the essay and portfolio materials can be added to the Application Portal on SchoolAdmin. These auxiliary materials should be submitted by February 3, 2023.

We strive to make MSD accessible and affordable to families and sustain our commitment to socio-economic diversity in our community. Families of students applying to Kindergarten through Middle School programs are eligible to apply for Tuition Adjustments.

Step 4: Submit Records and Transcripts

Paperwork must be received by Friday, February 3, 2023.

If your child is currently attending another school, please request that their transcripts and a teacher recommendation be sent from your child’s current school to MSD. Applicants to our Kindergarten through Middle School are required to have this information into MSD in order for the application to be complete.

As you complete the application, you will note a checklist with additional items to complete, including 3 photos and a 0:30 video for all Toddler through 8th Grade applicants. You will be able to submit an electronic request for Transcripts and a Teacher Recommendation from that checklist.

When you enroll your child at MSD, your family joins an amazing community of parents committed to a successful partnership between school and home. We value that relationship and therefore recognize the importance of getting to know you, as well as your child, during the admissions process. We will also answer your questions regarding MSD’s educational philosophy, program hallmarks, and logistics.
