Parent Book Club: "Real American: A Memoir"

The PA has started an MSD Equity & Inclusion book club for MSD families! The first book will be “Real American:
A Memoir,” by Julie Lythcott-Haims. (Some of you will remember Julie from the amazing parenting talk she gave at MSD last year, pre-pandemic when we all could gather in person.) “Real American: A Memoir” is a reflection on identity and belonging: the author details growing up Black and bi-racial in white communities and discusses the toll that racism, discrimination, and microaggressions took on her self-worth–and how she found acceptance through the healing power of community.
