Montessori School of Denver
Annual Events
Throughout the year, MSD is host to some amazing special events; for parents, grandparents, students and some for the entire community. These events are created and organized by our staff and Parent Association; and we welcome parents, prospective parents, grandparents, students and we open many events for the entire community
Check out our SCHOOL CALENDAR for all events and our PARENT PROGRAMS for community and Parent Education Events.
MSD’s Fun Run Program

We’re so excited about our upcoming, unforgettable Fun Run on Friday, September 13! The Fun Run is more than just a fundraiser. This event gives everyone in our community a chance to cheer on our students as they have fun running, being fit, and showing their MSD pride. Because we are trying to raise $25,000 for Technology at our school, students will be going on an amazing adventure and for you, as parents, it will now be easier than ever for you to join in on this fun, community-building event and support MSD.
Here are the basics: The Fun Run experience will be a fitness fundraiser that kicks off with a high-energy Pep Rally on Wednesday, September 4, at 8:30am on the Athletic Field. The Pep Rally “Huddles” will be led by our amazing Middle School student leaders. After the Rally, students start to gather pledges from family and friends, near and far. And then on, Friday, September 13 the students run in the Fun Run and earn their pledges. So, instead of selling something, your child will gather pledges from friends and family for each lap that your child runs at the Fun Run. Plus, it’s 100% inclusive and no child is left out. And remember, these funds go right back to helping MSD be the best it can be by supporting Technology in the classroom.
Fall Harvest Festival

On October 20, our campus will be transformed into a festive fall celebration for students, parents, neighbors and all to enjoy. MSD’s annual Fall Harvest Festival is a long-time family favorite, and the PA has been working hard to put together an incredible event for our families. Please mark your calendars, and take a look below to see how to help and get involved.
For the first time ever, we will not be charging admission for entry. Admission to the Fall Harvest will be by donation only, and tickets for a wide variety of activities, games, crafts, and food will be available for purchase at the event. The event will include many free games, snacks, and activities in addition to ticketed ones.
MSD Grandfriends Day

Our students have a million reasons to love their grandparents, aunts, uncles, nannies, neighbors, close family friends, and everyone who plays a big role in their lives! These people are their biggest fans. They champion their awesomeness in everything they do, and they love them in that special way only GrandFriends can.
At MSD, we treasure GrandFriends, too! Each year, they visit our campus to celebrate the important work we do at MSD. They join us for a light breakfast, a choir performance, student-led presentations in the classrooms, and to see MSD in action on GrandFriends Day. Sometimes GrandFriends attend our annual Auction fundraiser in April. Throughout the school year, we enjoy seeing these very special guests on campus in carline and in the classrooms celebrating birthdays and special occasions with us. We also count on GrandFriends to help make what we do at MSD possible each year with their financial support of the GoodWorks Annual Fund.
