The Gedrose Family Fund
Created in loving memory of Bob Gedrose, this fund honors his deep commitment to community, education, and opportunity for all. The Gedrose Family Fund supports Tuition Assistance at the Montessori School of Denver, helping ensure that more children can experience the joy of learning in an environment that nurtures curiosity, independence, and compassion. Gifts to this fund continue Bob’s legacy of generosity and belief in the transformative power of an MSD education.

Summer Sabbatical Legacy Gate
Near the end of the 2018 school year, we constructed the Stephanie Pax Flanigan Legacy Gate to honor Stephanie’s dedication to MSD as our beloved Head of School for 18 years. The Gate was thoughtfully designed with dashes of beautiful bronze accents to include 66 icons that illustrate how Stephanie’s and MSD’s stories are linked together. The Gate not only enhances the on-campus experience, but it also enhances staff wellness and the educational experience for our students by providing three $5,000 Summer Sabbatical grants each year to Faculty and Staff to recharge their batteries and promote personal growth. Each icon is available for a minimum donation of $2,500 and these monies make Summer Sabbaticals possible every year. The positive impact the Summer Sabbaticals have had and continue to have on our community are truly inspirational.
Staff members who have been at MSD ten, five, and three or more years may apply for the Summer Sabbatical, and two names are chosen randomly out of a hat each school year.
