Governance

The Board of Trustees is responsible for setting policy, focusing on long range and strategic issues, as well as the financial stewardship of MSD, and employing the Head of School. The Board works closely with the Head of School, but in accordance with best practice when it comes to independent school governance, is excluded from oversight of daily school operations. The Board is composed of parents of children who are currently enrolled in the school or Alumni students, Faculty representatives, and community members.
